AUTOMATED TELEPHONE BOOKING SYSTEM
The practice is pleased to announce that, in an effort to address the difficulties that patients have expressed to us, in getting through to speak to someone, simply to book a routine GP appointment, we have invested in an Automated Telephone Booking System, allowing patients to make an appointment without having to speak to a member of staff. Bedworth Health Centre is proud to announce that we are now a certified parkrun practice. parkruns are free, weekly 5K events, open to all. DEMENTIA FRIENDS INFORMATION SESSION
Please see this information leaflet for details on an upcoming event aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of Dementia.
The practice is able to offer the shingles vaccination to eligible patients in their 70s. Please see this poster for a list of patient age groups, who are eligible for the shingles vaccination. The Shingles page on our website website has more information about the shingles infection. Please speak to a member of staff to make an appointment for a vaccination or for further details.

FRIENDS AND FAMILY TEST
The Friends and Family Test (F&FT) page on our website has been updated. This is really important tool for patients to give ongoing feedback on the service we are providing and for the practice to know how satisfied our patients are. Please click here if you would like to take the test.
The surgery is now able to book patients into Appointments with Doctors or Nurses, at a location other than the surgery, outside of the surgery's normal opening hours. More information on the Extended Access service can be obtained through the Extended Access page on our website.
Meningitis and Septicaemia can kill very quickly. Cases of these caused by meningococcal W (MenW) bacteria are increasing in the UK. Teenagers and young adults have a higher risk of contracting the MenW disease. If you are starting university and are aged 25 & under, you are eligible for the MenACWY vaccine which protects against those four meningococcal groups (A, C, W, Y). The vaccine can be administered in a short, 10 minute appointment with one of our Practice Nurses. Please book online or call the surgery for more information.
NEW EOLC SERVICE
A new 'Rapid Response End of Life Care (EOLC)' service has been launched. This service is a pilot scheme, operated by South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) and Mary Ann Evans Hospice. An information leaflet with further details has been produced.
