HOME VISITS

Home visits are only made to housebound patients and those too ill to leave the house*.

*Doctors do not normally carry out home visits to children, although obviously, exceptions will be made in extreme circumstances.

If you require a home visit, please contact the surgery before 11.00am. Doctors will usually visit after morning surgery, which normally finishes anytime from 11.00am to 12.00pm. Visits requested after 11.00am may be deferred until the next working day. When requesting a home visit, please provide a contact telephone number as the Doctor may want to contact you first, to ascertain whether or not, in their clinical opinion, a home visit is necessary. Staff are required to establish the reason that a home visit is required. Please do not think we are prying into your medical difficulties, staff are required, at the request of the Doctors, to gain a brief understanding of why a home visit is needed.

Visits are made the discretion of the Doctor.
